Hessed -- A Love that will not let me go
We, like Mormon, want to reach out to our children and their children and grandchildren with things that have helped us in our study and implementation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our lives. We don’t want to overwhelm you with material but we do want you to look at what we share and see how it may be of help to you. Please give your children access to it. There are things here for your young men and young women and young adults. They are smarter than you think. There are many other good resources so these are definitely not intended to be a be all end all. The Holy Ghost will lead each of us as we ask Him to help us be and do better. We like Mormon and Moroni are trying to reach out to our posterity.
There will be Links here to a Few Podcasts (longer, Deeper), President Nelson or other General Authority Current Social Medial Posts or Conference talks. We want to Share these with you each Month. After they are Here for a month, they will be added to an archive Section (below) so you can get to them any time.

Morning
When we first wake up, we check in with Heavenly Father. (Most of the time before we are even out of bed.)
We acknowledge that we are choosing to follow Him and His Son for the rest of our lives.
We make a commitment to Him to Seek His will and ask Him to help us have a clear and active brain and intellect and remember the Savior and feel His presence throughout the day.
When we can’t do it out loud we do it silently but we make that commitment (and more) everyday. It is a good way to wake up.
Each morning, we then (after all of the above) have companionship prayer and again praise and worship God out loud. We seek to know how we can serve Him, our family and other of his children.
Midday
Each day, as we have our midday meals, we thank Him again for his plan of salvation and His goodness and mercy and hessed (loving kindness, a love that won’t let me or you go). We ask Him to help us have ears to hear the word of the Lord and eyes to see clearly and discern between truth and error.
Throughout the day we try to act on things we feel Heavenly Father is asking us to do. We sometimes discuss this with each other but at other times we just try to be diligent in reading the scriptures and other material (often together) and we try to follow the promptings that come to us.
Throughout the day we pause to ask silently, “Am I hearing and seeing what you want me to hear and see.? Am I speaking no guile? Is there something I need to repent of. Are my hands doing good, and my shoulders bearing my burdens as Thou would have me do?
evening
In the evening we again report in to Heavenly Father when we thank Him for our evening meal and seek his continued blessing on our day.
We thank Him for His protection and His guiding hand throughout our day. We also thank Him for His son and the many ways we have been given to remember Him and His loving kindness in all we do.
As we do this each day we can feel His guidance, love, approval, and/or correction more strongly. He is always gentle, and loving, and is always as close to us as we allow Him to be.
The more we practice seeking Him in this way the more revelations about what to ask Him and how to approach Him come and the more answers to questions or concerns we find in the scriptures or in our experiences in the temple, in our marriage, or in our life in general.
Bed Time
At bed time we return and report. We seek forgiveness for the things that we did during the day that did not reflect well on our goals.
We thank Him for the miracles we have seen and the opportunities we have had to help someone He has put in our way.
We ask for more direction and listen for the spirit. Sometimes we ask for specifics with regard to things we don’t understand. That usually leads to us finding a new book or a new scripture we hadn’t seen before that enlightens our understanding.
Morning, midday, evening, bed time, and even more often have become much more than just “check off the box” as we approach the Lord in this way. Figure out how you want to do it, but pray more often and with more intensity and faith. He is with us and He wants to answer YOU!
We do not know the day or the hour of His coming. But I do know that the Lord is prompting me to urge us to get ready for that “great and dreadful day.” President Russell M Nelson
I testify that Jesus Christ, the Redeemer of Israel, leads this, His Church. He is preparing to come again. May we likewise prepare to receive Him. For this I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
